Product of the Night:

Mrs Whippy Ballistic by LUSH

I have been loving so many products lately that I have decided to do"Product of the Night" posts. These will be also put together at the end of the month for a favorites video.

I was drawn to this particular bomb because of its shape and colors. Its a sweet smell, but not as sweet as I was expecting. At first glance, and after reading the name Mrs. Whippy, you would think it would smell like whipped creme. Don't get me wrong...the scent is sweet. Its the action in the tub is why I will replacing this item on my soap/ballistic rack.

This next picture is of the white part, and the following picture is of the pink part.

I didn't know that there were two parts to this ball...it was just an added surprise! There were so many bubbles and the water was nice and milky. The best part was...I didn't even use the whole thing! I usually put the ball/bar in a bag and give it a nice bang on the counter and add a few pieces at a time. This will stretch the product and save you money.

Easter Outfit of the Day - Late Posting

HAPPY EASTER!

I know, I'm a little late. If I see another egg I might kill myself lol. It was a nice day filled with good food, people, and eggs! The night before I was stressing that I didn't have anything to wear. I like how I have a walk-in closet and I still say "I don't have anything to wear!" I hate that.

We hit Target and Forever21 and this dress is what Ryan picked out for me.

I'm on a fresh flower kick. Tulips are love.
There are tons of colorful roses in this arrangement. After Jude took a short cat nap, we changed into casual clothing then it was time to check out his Easter basket I put together. (picture via Twitter) He got a bible, play instruments, bubbles, candy, toys, and a stress ball...for mommy haha.

We went to a beautiful park in Huntington Beach...I forget the name but it was huge!

Egg Hunt Time!!

I helped hide over 300 eggs, so I was sure Jude would find at least a few.

It was a long fun day. He played in the sand, ate a huge piece of chicken all by himself, and found eggs like a big boy! He had a seat under a tree to look at his loot :)

I whip my hair back and forth

Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your hair...then dye it!

Yes, I finally did it! I got extensions for my hair. I have had extensions a while back, like 4 years ago, but the quality was never this great. I tweeted a couple of weeks ago about wanting to know what brand/line of extensions was the best and I received tons of feedback. Almost most of the replies mentioned FOXYLOCKS Extensions so I was very interested.

I was lucky to have been contacted by the very beautiful Imogen from FOXYLOCKS, and she sent me a set of 20'' Clip-ins.

I have had my tracks sewn in before but it was so hard to keep up. Washing my hair was literally a pain in the neck. Also when removing them resulted in hair loss in the area the tacks were in.

I know that there is the glue method, it stinks and I didn't like the fact that they will eventually slowly fall out. The glue reminds me of eyelash glue but with a stronger smell.

Clip-ins are the safest for your hair, and being able to take them out at night is the best!

There are many natural colors to choose from, and I was sent 'Darkest Brown 2'. This would have been great if I didn't dye my hair!
Here is the slight contrast below. Its subtle in this picture but was a huge difference in the natural light. I was dying my hair at almost midnight after Jude was tucked in, the only light I had was from my vanity.
Problema: My hair was too dark!
Solution: Dye it the same flippin color, same brand, box, everything!
I purchased the Garnier Nutrisse Hair Color in '40 Dark Brown' from CVS, $9.50 USD

Follow instructions labeled on box.

I lined my sink with a large plastic garbage bag to keep the area as clean as possible.

Starting with one track...the largest, I saturated the hair and continued the process to the others.

Depending on the brand of hair dye, you will need to let the hair set for 10 to 45 mins.

After the set time is up, rinse till the water is clear. Wash with shampoo and conditioner.

Dry and style as desired.

This finished look! My hair matches perfectly!

I am so happy with the results. I didn't need extensions for length, but it did make my hair look a lot fuller when I put them in. I have tried so many different brands, synthetic to 100% human hair, and nothing compares!

A few days in the Springs

Oh Palm Springs, how I missed you so...

If you have been following this blog you know that we spent a lot of time at a vacation home in the beautiful city of Palm Springs last summer. Spring is here and its starting to warm up, so we took advantage of the weather and headed down for some fun in the sun.

It wouldn't be the same without amazing food. When we were at the market buying our lobster tails...I had the idea of making "Jaiva" (hi-va).

Your shopping list:

Baby Shrimp

Imitation Crab Meat

Cilantro

Cucumber

Ripe Jalapeno (optional)

5+ Lemons

Tomatoes (optional)

White Onion

Salt

Chile Powder (optional)

Tapatio (optional)

Lets get started.

You will need to rinse your shrimp really well with cold water.

Add to a large bowl.

Shred crab meat, then add to bowl.

I know the shopping list I provided has jalapenos and tomatoes but I left them out because I knew Jude would not be able to enjoy it with us if they were in the mix. You would now chop up the cucumber, onion and cilantro and add to bowl. Now for lemon juice, salt, chili powder if you are using it...will be added then seafood salad will need to be tossed.

This is a sour dish...so the more lemon the better. If you can wait...I recommend sticking it in the fridge for at least 2 hours before eating. This will allow the lemon to soak into the shrimp and crab meat. I serve the "jaiva" with tortilla chips.

After dinner, it was time for a nice warm bubble bath for little Jude Isaac.

When he was tucked in and deep into his sleep, Carly and I had our girl talk time over mini cups of ice cream and nail polish.

In the morning, we started the day with fresh juice from the trees out back.

We have so many fruit trees in my moms back yard my whole life...I don't know how we don't have one of these pickers...this is a must!

Off to the pool we go!

The last time we were here, Jude was just learning to walk. He has grown so much!

I didn't want my little honey to get burned so he was in the pool with his dodger hat.

I bought Jude's vest at CVS for $20.

My hat was from FOREVER21 and Swim suit from WalMartBelieve it or not, Carly found this swin suit at the 99CENT store! I was shocked!

So blessed to have my son in my life.

I had such a great time. I didn't want to leave.

Its a home away from home.
