Red Carpet ready with LORAC

When I want to try a new line of cosmetics, the first thing I go for is a value set. I picked up LORACs Hollywood Insider Collection and fell in love with their highlighter and lipgloss. Over the holidays I was given a giftcard to Sephora by Jude's grandma, Alicia. I was so excited to visit the mall and collect my new goods.

I picked up the following:
Red Carpet Reveal Palette / Breakthrough Performance Lipstick / Creamy Brow Pencil
I got a lot of comments mentioning or questioning the packaging. I personal love it. The down side to the high shine is that its hard to keep your finger prints off of it. It will make you want to play detective if your sisters get their paws on them.
These eye shadows are so soft! If I had to compare them to another company it would have to be Urban Decay. They are highly pigmented and last all day. I wish the lightest color didn't have so much shimmer to it, but other than that this palette is perfect for an every day look. The blush is not too bright either and is sure to look beautiful on all skin tones.
The lord knows that I have had eyebrow issues since I came out of the I will try just about anything! This pencil was $19 USD and I wish it was a little darker. If you have dark brown to black hair I would go with the darkest shade. I purchased 'brunette' ...and Carly is happy to take this fail off my hands.
Nude lips are my weakness. I was looking for a nice creamy natural lipstick for everyday wear like my favorites:
Fairest Nude - Loreal Paris
Freckletone - MAC
If you are interested in seeing the look I quickly put together, here is the video:
(coming soon)
I know I have been extra lazy and not keeping up with my blog and channel but I like to update when I am excited so its not such a snore!
Are there any Lorac items you love and think I should give a try? Let me know.

Make Me Up: Make Me Blush
This is part of a new collection by Sigma. This kit has everything you need to apply makeup to the face and eyes. You get the same quality brushes with just a added pop of color.
Not only does this come with a durable container, it also transforms into 2 brush holders for easy display on your counter top.
Sigma is a company that stands behind the excellence of their products. Every brush goes thru inspection and individually wrapped before being shipped.

Make Me Blush is the Coral set from the bunch that I think goes best with my personality.
I'm upset my camera failed to capture the multicolored print on each brush.
Here are a few details about these brushes off their official site:
Small Angle - E65 - Essential for the application of gel or cream eyeliner on the upper and lower lash line. This brush is also excellent for filling out the eyebrows. Synthetic bristles.

Medium Angled Shading - E70 - Angled, tapered, flat top. Ideal to apply highlight shades underneath the eyebrow and on the inner corners. It can also be used for a precise application of darker shades on the crease area. Natural bristles.

Large Shader - E60 - Flat shape is ideal for application of cream formulas and eye shadow primers. It also works great with loose eye shadows or pigments. Can be used to apply color all over the lid or precisely on the lash line. Natural bristles.

Pencil - E30 - Precise application of color on the crease, outer corner, and upper and lower lash line. Also ideal to smudge out pencil liner. Natural bristles.

Large Angled Contour - F40 - The angled shape makes this brush ideal to apply blush or contour shades. Natural bristles.

Large Powder - F30 - Very dense with a rounded top. Ideal to apply powder products on face and body. Natural bristles.

Duo Fibre - F50 - Specially designed to generate an ‘airbrushed’ finish when used to apply liquid foundation. It can also be used to apply blush, highlight shades and loose pigments. Blend of synthetic and natural bristles.

Foundation - F60 - Can be used to apply liquid or cream foundation. It is also recommended to apply moisturizers and conceal large areas. Synthetic bristles.

Concealer - F70 - The rounded, tapered, flat shape makes this brush ideal to conceal the under eye area. It is also recommended for a precise application in small areas. Synthetic bristles.

Tapered Blending - E40 - Rounded and tapered top. Specially designed to apply and blend color on the crease. Natural bristles.

Eye Shading - E55 - Soft and dense with a rounded finish. Can be used to apply pressed or loose eye shadows and pigments. Ideal to build intense color on the eyelid. Natural bristles.

Happy New Year 2011

Is it 2011 already?
So I better start my swim training now before the big wave comes and kills us all next year! I joke about it now but I was seriously looking it up like a weirdo crying my eyeballs out because I didn't want to die. I didn't want Jude to die at 3 years of age and I hate the beach so its a terrible death for me all together. Being extra ultra dramatical for a second there...
HAPPY NEW YEAR LADIES (& gentlemen too)!
I enjoyed my New Years Eve, it was the best NYE so far.
I am not going to talk about that because I don't have to haha. I'm sure pictures will surface soon.
I missed Carly and B the night before so I made sure that we were going to have a good night New Years Day. I think my camera lens needs to be cleaned off because most of the pictures came out blurry and spotty. Here are a few pictures from that night...
My Details:
black scoop cotton t-shirt tucked into a
black and white skirt by and
black booties by Fashion Q
Pink lace bra by Victoria's Secret
I love these girls!
Crazy Carl aka Carlos aka Carly throwing gang signs lol.
After Batman saved B from passing out and falling on the floor, she was getting down with her bad self. Get it, Get it B!
I'm always the camera lady so there are never any action shots of me, thank god because I am the most awkward person in the building haha.

My thoughts for 2011:
I need to go to church more. I have a lot to be thankful for. I might not have it all but the only one holding me back from that is myself, I can do it! Life is what you make it.
What did you do to bring in the new year?
