Jedi Birthday Party

Oh my its a Jedi...PARTY!

Jude and I were invited to a Star Wars themed party over the weekend to celebrate my cousin Daniel's birthday. I was really excited because my Aunt Anabel always hosts the best parties! She went all out on everything...I mean EVERY THING. I love when people notice the detail that I put into my work, so I can appreciate the effort she put into this party.

Just in case you were not sure what a Jedi was, there was a sign to fill you in.

Lets begin with the food and treats. There were the most delicious tamales a Mexican could ever wish for, hot dogs, burgers, and nachos. I didn't take pictures of these because I inhaled everything so quickly haha.
I could not wait to show the cake...so here it is! She made so many things the morning of the party, so she was no completely happy with the results but I think it looks fantastic. Tall character cakes are a challenge!
R2D2 Birthday Cake
Yoda and Darth Vader cookies were yummy.
Han Solo in Carbonite Jell-O.
Coolest jello yet. Simple but totally relevant to the movie.
I thought it was neat that she labeled everything to go with the movie. Pretzel sticks turned into lightsabers when dipped into blue frosting.
Princess Leia Cupcakes
I made sure to get the skinny on these next two cupcake designs. These are carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, Oreo cookie hair buns, Kiss sprinkles for the lips and black gel for the hair and eyes. Cute!!
Ewok Cupcakes
These were German chocolate cupcakes with German chocolate frosting, Hersey's Kisses for the ears, light brown fondant for the hood, and black gel for the eyebrows eyes and nose.
Costumes are a must! Themed parties would not be complete without costumes, this is Princess Leia aka Autumn. I love this little girl she is such a sweet heart.
Each child got a hooded cape and a lightsaber, they really lit up! Jude played with his until it was time for bed.
Birthday Boy Jedi Daniel battles Darth Vader!
Soon follows Princess Leia...
....then Jedi Jude Isaac!
And the oldest, most dustiest Jedi...my mom hahahah.
The best part of hiring Character Entertainers is that they fill up their 2 hours with fun! These two had a parachute game that the kids jumped for joy over.
Also temporary tattoos...
And balloon swords!
Of course we had to come dressed in Star Wars shirts. I got our tops at OLD NAVY for under $20 each. My shirt was in the boy section, I just cut the neck out and stretched it out to give it a girly twist. I love it!
My tia Anabel, her husband Oscar and their blessed son Daniel.
The best shot I got with all of these excited Jedi kids.
We had such a great time. I wish I could have stayed for the pinata and to make Yoda Soda. If there are any pictures of the Yoda Soda I will make sure to update it. This post I dedicate to my beautiful aunt Anabel. Shes an amazing person, and an even better mother. God bless her! I hope you enjoyed this post, I was so excited to share this with you all!

Could you do a post on how you modified your shirt? I just got a bunch of good shirts from rummage sales but a few are way too small
